How Long Can the Media Continue to Provide Cover for the Biden Administration?

After four years of cataloguing every lie emanating from then-narcissist-in-chief Donald Trump—and from time to time, making up falsehoods—our media elite continue to run cover for the equally narcissistic lies of President Biden.
At Commentary, Christine Rosen has taken it upon her self to play catchup for the media at large. Here is a short rundown.
Most recently, Biden claimed to have visited the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburg after the 2018 shooting that killed 11. The truth is that he never visited there and it was President Trump that did.
Since he first ran for president in 1988, Biden has been caught plagiarizing the words, and the biographical history, of a British Labor leader, of President John F. Kennedy, of Robert Kennedy and of Hubert Humphrey. When caught, Biden always responded in anger, citing the proof of his dishonesty as an attack on his integrity. Go figure.
He lied about receiving a full scholarship to law school, about graduating at the top of his class, and when challenged, he becomes characteristically Trump-like. Responding to a voter’s challenge he once responded, “I think I probably have a much higher IQ than you do, I suspect.”
The worst part of this is how the media consistently covers for the man. USA Today tried to dismiss the accusation that Biden looked at his watch when the 13 soldiers’ coffins were ceremoniously brought off the plane from Afghanistan. They called it “partly false” until a video emerged showing the president doing exactly what he was being accused. The paper merely changed their rating to “missing context.”
For much of the media, says Rosen, the “fact checks” of the president, “more often than not read like talking points from the White House communications office.” She concludes:
For Biden, the lies aren’t meant to protect an innocent party or even to soothe the anxious public. They are almost always to burnish the reputation of Joe Biden. He is at the center of these fabulations, and when he tells them, he makes himself sound more empathetic, heroic, decisive, or intelligent than the truthful record demonstrates he is. Americans might have become cynical about how often our politicians lie to us about matters of policy. But it is worth considering what it says about Biden that he has spent his political career lying about— and perhaps to—himself.
But then, unlike at least some portion of the Trump administration, the current Biden administration seems to be completely standing by every lie their boss releases. The current policy in Afghanistan is a total lie unto itself.
“A new chapter of America’s engagement with Afghanistan has begun. It’s one in which we will lead with our diplomacy,” announced Secretary of State Antony Blinken in a celebratory mood. “The military mission is over. A new diplomatic mission has begun.”
Pressed on whether assurances from the Taliban could be trusted, Blinken responded, “The Taliban seeks international legitimacy and support. Our message is: any legitimacy and any support will have to be earned.” The Wall Street Journal opined on this statement.
By “support” we assume Mr. Blinken means access to the country’s assets held abroad, including at the Federal Reserve. It also means diplomatic recognition, which could free up access to aid and hard currency from the International Monetary Fund and World Bank. This means that American taxpayers would in essence be financing al Qaeda and the Haqqani Network.
The United States under Joe Biden continues to practically beg the Taliban to abide by its original agreement, and in return has offered “financial aid and other assistance.” Why would the Taliban seek any assistance from the United States when China is right next door and willing to offer assistance without the caveat of requiring responsible governance?
